You'll travel across suspended bridges, cables, rungs and trails as you traverse the cliffs with your experienced guides. This tour is perfect for those looking for a new, adrenaline rushing experience!

    Via Ferrata in Italian means 'iron road ' and traces back to the 19th century, most famously known for their presence in World War I. It is a method that combines mountaineering and rock climbing, using a combination of ladders, rungs, rails, cables and bridges to aid in moving across and up a cliff face. 

    This Mount Evans Via Ferrata is an unforgettable extreme adventure, sitting at the base of a beautiful 14,000+ foot peak in the Colorado Rockies. The Iron Way in Idaho Springs is an assisted rock climbing guided tour where guests clip into cables that run along the side of a cliff. They then move along a designated path of iron rungs and bridges to move across, and along the way they will be required to clip in and out of the cable to progress through the course. This is made possible through an advanced internal locking system in the carabiners. Each guest will have 2 carabiners connected to bungee-style lanyards on their harness. The internal locking system makes it impossible to clip out of both at the same time, insuring that climbers are connected to the cable of the course at all times.

    Meet at the Idaho Springs Outpost to gear up and meet your guide. Then, hop in the Zip Truck for a ride closer to the course, where you will go on a short hike to get to the starting point of your Via Ferrata Adventure!
